Let your dreams blossom

Morning xx

So, as it's Thursday, I'm on the Bee Crafty blog today, but, this will be my final Bee Crafty DT blog 😥
I have had an amazing journey with Bev and Sam, and I will continue to support and promote their fabulous family  business. Please do support them to, even more so in this current crisis  xx

Anyway, back to today's blog, here is my Art Journal, using those gorgeous Journaling Girls again xx

Also used:
Journaling Girl - Elegant
Journaling Blocks
Big One Inkable - Andalucian
Dylusions Ink Spray - Crushed Grape
Just Bloom stamp set
Dreams Blossom stamp set
Geometric Walls stamp set

To begin I used the Crushed  Grape Dylusions spray randomly through the Andalucian Inkable

Using the small embellishment stamps from the Just Bloom stamp set, I inked them in Black Onyx Versafine and stamped them randomly around the pages.
I did the same with one of the smaller stamps from the Geometric Walls set.

The Girl, a Journaling block and some flowers, from the Just Bloom set, were stamped on card and coloured in with my Alcohol Markers.  I cut them all out then stamped a sentiment from the Just Bloom set, on the Journaling block, before adhering them all on the right hand page of my Journal.
I stamped another sentiment, from the Dreams Blossom stamp set, cut it out and adhered it to the left hand page, to finish.

I had great fun creating this spread and I hope you enjoyed looking through todays post.

Many thanks for everyone who has followed my Bee Crafty blogs

Bee Monarchy

Morning everyone xx

I'm on the Bee Crafty blog today with a spread from my Art Journal using the fabulous
Bee Monarchy collection 😁

Products used:

Ticker Tape Stamps
Crackle stamp
Distress Oxides
Dinkables

To begin I smooshed Distress Oxides across  my Art Journal pages.
I blended one of the Oxides randomly through the Honeycomb Dinkable

Using the other Oxide colour I randomly blended through the Brick Wall Dinkable

I stamped the Honeycomb embellishment stamp and the Crackle stamp, around the spread in Black Soot Oxide.

The Bees were stamped on to a piece of card, coloured in with sparkle pens, cut out and adhered to the pages

The Ticker Tape Sentiments were then stamped, cut out and glued in place and to finish I drew a wiggly frame around the double spread.

I hope you enjoyed this weeks post.

Bloom

Morning everyone.

I'm over on the Bee Crafty blog today with my latest Art Journal pages, using the fabulous Journaling Girls. Love the freedom my Art Journal gives, anything goes, just let your creativity flow xx

Products used:
Journaling Girls: Cheer, Sassy
Inks
Sparkle pens

To create the background I put some drops of coloured ink on a glass mat, picked them up with a wet piece of cloth and dragged them across the pages. I did this several times, in different directions to create this effect.

I stamped the embellishments randomly across the pages using Black Onyx Versafine and Faded Jean's Distress  Oxides.

I stamped some of the Just Bloom flowers randomly across the bottom.

The Journaling Girls and a Block were stamped on card, coloured in, cut out and adhered to the page. (The Sentiment was stamped in Black Onyx Versafine on the Block, before adhering it).

I also stamped some of the flowers on a piece of card, coloured them in with my sparkle pens, cut them out and adhered them on top of the stamped images, to create more dimension.

I hope you enjoyed today's post and I'll see you again soon

Why, Art Journal spread

Morning everyone xx

I'm over on the Bee Crafty blog today with a spread from my Art Journal.
I wanted to use my Doodle Art stamps, but had no specific idea in mind, so I just went for it, and this was the end result lol. That's what I love about my Art Journal, the freedom to just create...

Products used:
Doodle Art stamp sets
Big One - Inkable - Chrysanthemum
Ticker Tape 2 Sentiments
Sparkle pens from my Crafty stash

Having gessoed my pages first, I blended Distress Oxides randomly through the Chrysanthemums Big One Inkable. I wasnt careful and I applied different pressures, to create depth and dimension.

I stamped all the Doodle flowers, from all the different sets I had, randomly across the bottom of the pages.

The Butterfly was then stamped twice, going off the edge of the page, again to add dimension and perspective.

I used a couple of the small embellishment stamps, from some of the sets, randomly across the spread, including the splatter of dots one, around the flowers.

I then coloured in using my sparkle pens. I wanted a watercolour effect to this spread, so I coloured in very loosely, leaving white spaces, going over the edges, and blending colours together. I love how this technique gives a completely different look to a more precise, neat colouring technique.

The Ticker Tape sentiment was stamped on white card, cut out and adhered, to complete my spread.

I hope you liked it, it was a lot of fun to create.
Until next time,

Go be Free Art Journal

Morning everyone xx

I'm on the Bee Crafty blog today with a spread from my Art Journal, using the fabulous, and quirky, Journaling Girls.

Also used:
Journaling girl- Cheer Sassy
Acrylic paint
White Posca pen
Versafine
Alcohol Markers
Travel Words

To begin I Gessoed the pages and then applied Acrylic Paints randomly over the spread. I then drew random white circles with my white Posca pen

I used a black pen and drew very loosely around the circles,  to make them pop.

I stamped some of the small embellishment stamps from the Journaling Girls collection, around the pages, in black onyx Versafine

The Journaling Girls were stamped on super smooth card and coloured in with my Alcohol Markers. I also stamped out the Journaling Blocks and stamped some of the Travel Words on them.
These were then cut out and adhered to the pages, to complete this weeks make.

Many thanks for taking the time to have a look. Please leave a comment and let me know what you think of these fabulous girls.

Until next time

Art Journal

Morning xx

I've been playing in my Art Journal for this weeks Bee Crafty blog, using the beautiful Ladies Profile as my focal image. This is such a versatile stamp which can be used with most other stamps

Also used:
Dandelion
Wilflowers
Brick wall Inkable
Trio of Butterflies
Distress Oxides

To begin my Art Journal page, I blended Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide through the Brickwall Inkable, in random areas, and off the edge of the page.

I stamped the Ladies Profile in Walnut Brown Oxide, and coloured her lips and eyes in with coloured pens.

The Dandelion and Wildflowers were also stamped in the Walnut Brown, and I used second and third generation stamping, to add the effect of depth.

Three butterflies were stamped, on a separate piece of card, in the Walnut Brown.  I cut them out and adhered them with 3d glue gel, to complete my page.

Thankyou for popping by and I'll be back soon

Don't believe everything

Morning crafters

As it's a Thursday I'm on the Bee Crafty blog. For this weeks post I'm sharing a page from my Art Journal,  using the lovely Ledger Measure stamp set. I love the freedom of playing in my journal as I just let my creativity flow and see where I end up xx

Also used:
Metal Work Inkable
Dinkables
Distress Inks
Ticker Tape Sentiments stamp set
Random Numbers stamp set

To begin I added some white gesso to my page and dried it off. This gives me a lovely base for any mediums I wish to throw at it lol.

I inked through the Metal Work Inkable, randomly on the page, in a Distress Ink.

I then did the same in another colour, using the Circles Dinkable.

With the same Distress Ink, I randomly stamped some of the Random Numbers off the edge of my page, to add more depth.

The beautiful Ledger Measure was inked up with Black Onyx Versafine and stamped off the page slightly.

To finish I stamped, cut up and adhered a Ticker Tape Sentiment to the page, then drew some wiggly lines, in a black pen, to frame my page.

I hope you liked todays creativity and I'll be back again soon.

Live by the sea

Also used:
Dinkables
Distress Oxide
White embossing powder

Having first painted my page with white gesso and dried it off with my heat gun, I then blended distress oxides randomly all over. I dried each layer off before applying more until I was happy with the effect.
I dropped some water on and dabbed dry with paper towel.
Using a damp wipe, and my circles Dinkables, I removed some of the ink to add more dimension.
I stamped and heat embossed the gorgeous Jellyfish in white.
Green Distress Oxide was blended through the leafy Dinkable
I stamped various Seaweeds in different Oxides, first and second generation, to get more dimension.
The sentiment was stamped on paper, cut out and adhered to finish.

Do something today...

Hi crafters xx

I'm on my blog with a quick post to show you my latest Art Journal spread 😂
I love the freedom to chuck anything at it..and see where it leads you. I very rarely plan what I'm going to create lol
My first New Years challenge was to start an Art Journal.  The second was to try my hand at watercolouring/painting. For this spread I painted my own Daisies. .. I know they're not great but it's a start lol

I used Acrylic paints for this spread.
I also used texture paste through some stencils by Bee Crafty (and other ones I had in my stash). The sentiment was also by Bee Crafty.
I sketched the Daisies first then pined them with acrylics

Thanks for taking a look

I am the Dragon

Hello crafters xx

I'm on the Bee Crafty blog today with a spread from my Art Journal using the absolutely fabulous Dragon stamp 😊 How awesome is this image. I also combined it with the amazing Dragon Eye
I'm loving using my Art Journal. ..it allows so much freedom in my creativity.

Also used:
Script stamp
Inks
Dinkables
Versafine
Distress Oxides
Glossy Accents

I prepped my pages with white Gesso before creating a "smooshed" background with my inks. (You can create same effect with Distress inks,  Oxides or other water based ink pads).
I randomly stamped the script and the scales stamps over the pages. To get a more random effect I like to hold the stamp in the palm of my hand.
I blended Black Soot Distress Oxide through the brick wall Dinkable.
On seperate card I stamped the Dragon and Eye in Green Distress Oxides,  spritzing with a little water to allow colours to me slightly.
I cut these out then added glossy accents on the centres of the eyes and allowed them to dry.
Using the cut out Dragon as I guide I blended through the Feathers Dinkable with Distress Oxides, to create the effect of fire coming from the Dragons mouth.
Once my background and Dragon was dry I adhered them to the spread.
I stamped the sentiment on white card, cut through out and adhered them.
To finish I drew a wiggly frame around the edges.

I hope you enjoyed today's post and I'll be back again soon

Life is good

Morning crafters xx

Just thought I'd do a quick blog to show you my latest Art Journal spread.
I decided to try something new for 2019 so got an Art Journal, stared at the blank pages for about a week lol and then just started creating. And I have to say I'm now hooked! Lol.

The other new year challenge was to try watercolouring so for this Art Journal I painted my own flowers. .. 2 new challenges in one go 😂

I used acrylic paints to create the background and a mixture of background stamps and stencils by Stamps By Me and Bee Crafty.

I loved painting the flowers, albeit very hesitantly lol. They were painted onto light watercolour card and cut out

I hope you like today's make and I'll be back soon with some more Art Journal spreads
