Life is good

Morning crafters xx

Just thought I'd do a quick blog to show you my latest Art Journal spread.
I decided to try something new for 2019 so got an Art Journal, stared at the blank pages for about a week lol and then just started creating. And I have to say I'm now hooked! Lol.

The other new year challenge was to try watercolouring so for this Art Journal I painted my own flowers. .. 2 new challenges in one go 😂

I used acrylic paints to create the background and a mixture of background stamps and stencils by Stamps By Me and Bee Crafty.

I loved painting the flowers, albeit very hesitantly lol. They were painted onto light watercolour card and cut out

I hope you like today's make and I'll be back soon with some more Art Journal spreads

Watercolour Frames by Altenew

Good morning crafters

I'm here again with my weekly Monday morning blog for products available from
Www.bumbleberrys.co.uk

Today I'm showcasing the stunning
Watercolour Frames by Altenew
I know you're loving them because they keep selling out...lol
I used the frames to create an effective and beautiful background to a flower stamp I had

Also used:
Distress Oxides : Fossilized Amber, Peeled Paint, Worn Lipstick
Smokey Grey versafine ink

I cut a strip of white card and inked around the edge with the Peeled Paint Oxide

I inked up one of the solid frame stamps in the Peeled Paint, spritzed with water and stamped it near the top of the strip of card

I repeated the process with the other two Oxides. The effect of this frame stamp, together with the effect the Oxides create, is simply beautiful

I then stamped the flower and sentiment in the smokey grey versafine ink and adhered the strip to my card blank

Many thanks for popping by

Vision Inkognito by Visible Image

Morning crafters

Today im sharing a bright and cool card I made using the fabulous
Vision Inkognito stamp (Visible Image)
Halftone Circles stamp (Altenew )
Also used:
Distress Inks: Picked Raspberry,  Spiced Marmalade,  Wilted Violet

A very quick and easy card but effective I think

The eye was stamped three times using Distress Inks ( Picked Raspberry,  Spiced Marmalade, Wilted Violet ). I spritzed stamp very lightly each time

The Hello sentiment was stamped in the same inks, down the right side of the card blank, randomly on and off the page

I hope you like it and thankyou for popping by

Honey Doo Crafts Roses are Red stamp set and die

Morning crafters.

Wishing you all a Happy Easter

Hope everyone is well. Any plans for today? Mine is to get inky and messy of course...lol

Anyways today I'm sharing a DT sample I made using the stunning Roses are Red stamp set and coordinating die, available from www.honeydoocrafts.co.uk

I cut a piece of white card slightly smaller than card blank and created a random watercolour background using distress inks and stencils. This was adhered to card blank with wet glue

I also created a watercolour effect on a scalloped frame which was attached using foam pads

The Rose stamp was stamped in versafine ink, coloured with Kuretake clean colour pens and cut out with the coordinating die.

I attached the Rose using foam pads then stamped the sentiment in versafine ink

A few pearls were added to complete my sample.

Thankyou for stopping by and any comments you leave are very much appreciated

Tim Holtz Crazy Birds

Morning crafters

Midweek already. Where does the time go

Guess what I'm sharing today?... Yes. .more crazy bird makes lol! These stamps are soo cute, fun to play with a soo versatile.

For this card I created a water colour background using distress inks. I used the same inks to colour a scalloped frame (by Julie Hickey. Julie Loves. ... )

A wiggly frame was made around the card blank with a fine line pen

I stamped the sentiments using Versafine black onyx ink

Two birds were stamped onto a piece of card in black onyx versafine and then coloured in with Kuretake clean colour pens.

I cut them out and attached them to card blank with foam pads.

For my second card I also created a watercolour background. As this was on a deckle textured card blank it created a completely different effect to my first card

I drew a line across the card blank with a fine line pen

The birds and sentiment were then stamped in versafine black onyx ink to complete.

Hope you like these simple but fun cards

I first created a random watercolour background using distress inks

I stamped the Lovely Lily in black versafine ink and coloured it in loosely, with Kuretake clean colour pens

The crazy bird was also stamped in versafine ink and coloured in with the pens. To complete I stamped the sentiment in black ink

Stamps By Me. All Things Grow With Love

Morning crafters
The sun is shining...

Would love to share a new card made using the gorgeous stamp by
Www.stampsbyme.co.uk

I first masked off a strip across the card blank then stamped the outline image in black versafine ink over the strip
I then stamped the main solid image using distress inks, spritzing the stamp first, then stamped over the outline image.
These are lamination stamps so are not meant to line up perfectly,  creating that gorgeous natural effect.
To finish I removed the masking tape and stamped the sentiment with black versafine
A few pearls and gems completed this make.
Hope you like it
