Art Journal

Morning xx

I've been playing in my Art Journal for this weeks Bee Crafty blog, using the beautiful Ladies Profile as my focal image. This is such a versatile stamp which can be used with most other stamps

Also used:
Dandelion
Wilflowers
Brick wall Inkable
Trio of Butterflies
Distress Oxides

To begin my Art Journal page, I blended Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide through the Brickwall Inkable, in random areas, and off the edge of the page.

I stamped the Ladies Profile in Walnut Brown Oxide, and coloured her lips and eyes in with coloured pens.

The Dandelion and Wildflowers were also stamped in the Walnut Brown, and I used second and third generation stamping, to add the effect of depth.

Three butterflies were stamped, on a separate piece of card, in the Walnut Brown.  I cut them out and adhered them with 3d glue gel, to complete my page.

Thankyou for popping by and I'll be back soon

Idea, Create, Art

Hello Crafters xx

Something a bit different from me on the
Bee Crafty blog today. I set myself a couple of new challenges for the New Year. The first one was to try my hand at Art Journalling.
So here's my first Bee Craft Art Journal spread. Hope you like it xx

Products used :
Ladies Profile
Maple leaf
Oak leaf
Trio Butterflies
XL creativity words
Multi mini Distress Diamond
Dinkables
Inks
Texture Paste
Black pen

This is the completed Art Journal spread

I first covered the pages in white gesso
Texture paste was randomly applied through the Honeycomb Dinkable
Once dry I smooshed watercolour inks over both pages. (You can use any inks, distress oxides, whatever you have in your crafty stash). I dried in between each application, building up the layers until I was happy

I stamped the Ladies Profile, Oak and Maple leaves around the edges of the pages, in black onyx versafine ink
I then stamped 3 more butterfly's "flying" on the left page, and drew in a butterfly trail

Holding the mini Distress Diamond stamp in the palm of my hand, I randomly stamped parts of it in Black Soot Distress Oxide
I then drew a wiggly black frame around the edge of my two page spread

I stamped the large Creativity Words on a seperate piece of card.  Cut them up, added wiggly lines around each, then adhered to my pages

And here was the final result. For one of my first Art Journal spreads, I was really happy with the way it turned out. Hope you like it

Ladies Profile

Good morning crafters 😊

What are we all up to? Any crafting on the agenda?

I'm back with my weekly Bee Crafty DT blog over on Buzzy Goings On At Bee Crafty Blog

I've been combining all my favourite stamps again, with my favourite ever colour,  Cracked Pistachio. ..lol. I just LOVE this shade of green and today it's combined with blues

For this sample I've used:
Splatter Swirl Upright Rectangle Frame
Ladies Profile
BEAUtanicals Wildflower 2
Life &Rain

Also used:
Distress Oxides : Cracked Pistachio
Distress Inks : Salty Ocean, Tumbled Glass
Smokey Grey versafine ink
Dinkables: Chain Link, Honeycomb

  • I inked up the Splatter Swirl frame in Cracked Pistachio DO and stamped it in the centre of my card blank
  • Having masked the frame off, I stamped the Ladies Profile in Salty Ocean DI
  • On the opposite outside edge corners of the frame, I blended Tumbled Glass DI through the Honeycomb stencil and Cracked Pistachio DO through the Chain Link stencil
  • The Wildflower was then stamped randomly in both the Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass DI'S
  • To complete I stamped the sentiment in Smokey Grey versafine ink
I hope you like both the combination of stamps, and colours, I've used as much as I do

Many thanks for popping by and I'll be back again next week with another Bee Crafty blog

Ladies Profile, Moon and BEAUtanicals stamp sets by Bee Crafty

Good morning lovely crafters xx

Hope everyone is feeling good

I'm back today with my weekly blog post for Bee Crafty  over on their blog
Buzzy Goings On At Bee Crafty Blog

I'm showcasing the following beautiful stamps sets:
Ladies Profile
Moon
BEAUtanicals Wildflower 2
BEAUtanicals Ground Elder
Life and Rain

Also used:
Distress Inks  : Salty Ocean, Tumbled Glass, Squeezed Lemonade
Black onyx versafine ink
Smokey Grey versafine ink

  • Cut a square of blue paper and two squares of white card, in decreasing sizes, smaller than the 7x7 card blank
  • Taking the smallest square of white card I stamped the Ladies Profile, and the Moon, in Smokey Grey versafine ink
  • The Wildflower 2 was stamped in the Squeezed Lemonade DI, ensuring they were stamped at different heights
  • I then stamped the Ground Elder in the Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean DI'S.  I also stamped some a second time, without reinking.  This gives depth and dimension to your flowers
  • The LIFE part of the sentiment stamp was stamped in black onyx versafine ink
  • I then adhered all the layers together with wet glue and then adhered it to card blank
I love the effect of these beautiful stamps together..I hope you do too.
Don't forget to check out the Bee Crafty website for these stamps and many more

DT samples for the new Time products by Bee Crafty

Good morning xx

How is everyone?  Do we have a crafty day planned?

I'm back today with my weekly blog for
Bee Crafty

Following on from last week's blog I'd like to showcase the rest of my DT samples for the new Time products, recently released on Hochanda

Last week I showed the mdf makes, today I'd like to share the cards I made using the same products

Pocket Watch stamp
Cogs stamp
Key stamp
Ladies Profile stamp
TIME stamp
Time Flies stamp

Also used:
Distress Oxides
Black onyx versafine ink
Inkables Tempate: Circles
Dinkable : Chain link
Versmark ink
White embossing powder
Pixie Powders  (you can also use Brushos)

  • I cut some teal paper slightly smaller than my card blank and white card slightly smaller than this
  • The Pocket Watch was stamped in black onyx versafine ink, onto the white card, and masked off
  • I used Peacock Feathers and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxides through the Circles and Chain Link stencils
  • The cogs were then stamped in the same Distress Oxides
  • I removed the mask then stamped the TIME part of the stamp on the right hand side of the white card

  • For this sample I cut a square of black card and a slightly smaller square of white card
  • The Peacock Feathers and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxides were blended across the white card, spritzing with water and drying in between each layer of ink
  • The Ladies Profile and the Cogs stamps were inked up in the black onyx versafine ink and stamped onto the blended background
  • I second generation stamped the Pocket Watch in the lower left corner to get a more muted image, which sits in the background
  • The sentiment was also stamped in the black onyx versafine ink to complete

  • For this sample, I cut a square of black card and a slightly smaller square of white card
  • The Pocket Watch was stamped in Versmark ink and heat embossed in with white embossing powder
  • I used Pixie powders to create the background
  • The sentiments were stamped in black onyx versafine ink, masking it off to split the sentiment into two separate stamped images

  • To create this sample, I cut a panel of black card and a slightly smaller panel of white card, to fit vertically down my card blank
  • The keys were stamped in Wilted Violet, Fossilized Amber, Worn Lipstick and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxides
  • Using the panel as a guide, I stamped the Pocket Watch so it would sit under the panel
  • I adhered the white card panel onto the card blank with TEMPORARY adhesive, stamped the TIME sentiment over both the panel and the card blank and then I removed the panel
  • The white panel was adhered to the black panel and the adhered to card blank,  ensuring the sentiment stamp lined up perfectly
I really hope you've enjoyed seeing my first DT samples, showcasing the new Time products on Hochanda

I'd love you to leave me some comments,  I do read them all.

Thankyou for stopping by and I'll be back with more samples for Bee Crafty next Thursday
