Good vibes only

Hi everyone xx

Just popped on to show you another Art journal spread... sorry if I'm boring you with these now...I'm addicted 😂😂

I used Distress Oxides on this spread, to create my background and flower/sentiment stamps and dies from Thirsty Brush & Co as my focal point
I also used a selection of stencils and combined them with my own doodling

For You...

Hello everyone

I'm on the Bee Crafty blog today with two makes using the absolutely beautiful Sunflower. A stunning hand drawn flower that stamps so brilliantly

Also used :
Everyday Sentiments XL 1
Distress Oxides
Dinkables
Sparkle pens
Bark Positive stamp
Foil

For the background I used my sparkle pens, a large brush and water. Creates a beautiful blended rainbow effect which you can also get using Distress Inks and Oxides
I stamped random bits of Bark and blended Distress Oxides randomly through Honeycomb stencil. I used a fine line pen to add some effect to the honeycomb shapes
Using a water brush I bleached out a sun
The Sunflower and sentiment was stamped in black onyx versafine and I added a few white highlights with a gel pen

I applied Distress Oxides direct to the stamp, spritzed with water and stamped onto my card stock.
Using a craft knife I cut around the Sunflower, so the edges of parts of it sat over the panel, which was same length as my card blank
I applied transfer foil to base of my Sunflower. I also applied some to the base of my card blank
The panel was adhered to card blank and I added wiggly lines down each side of the panel, with a black pen
The sentiment was stamped in white, to complete

Many thanks for popping by and I'll be back again soon

Life is good

Morning crafters xx

Just thought I'd do a quick blog to show you my latest Art Journal spread.
I decided to try something new for 2019 so got an Art Journal, stared at the blank pages for about a week lol and then just started creating. And I have to say I'm now hooked! Lol.

The other new year challenge was to try watercolouring so for this Art Journal I painted my own flowers. .. 2 new challenges in one go 😂

I used acrylic paints to create the background and a mixture of background stamps and stencils by Stamps By Me and Bee Crafty.

I loved painting the flowers, albeit very hesitantly lol. They were painted onto light watercolour card and cut out

I hope you like today's make and I'll be back soon with some more Art Journal spreads

Idea, Create, Art

Hello Crafters xx

Something a bit different from me on the
Bee Crafty blog today. I set myself a couple of new challenges for the New Year. The first one was to try my hand at Art Journalling.
So here's my first Bee Craft Art Journal spread. Hope you like it xx

Products used :
Ladies Profile
Maple leaf
Oak leaf
Trio Butterflies
XL creativity words
Multi mini Distress Diamond
Dinkables
Inks
Texture Paste
Black pen

This is the completed Art Journal spread

I first covered the pages in white gesso
Texture paste was randomly applied through the Honeycomb Dinkable
Once dry I smooshed watercolour inks over both pages. (You can use any inks, distress oxides, whatever you have in your crafty stash). I dried in between each application, building up the layers until I was happy

I stamped the Ladies Profile, Oak and Maple leaves around the edges of the pages, in black onyx versafine ink
I then stamped 3 more butterfly's "flying" on the left page, and drew in a butterfly trail

Holding the mini Distress Diamond stamp in the palm of my hand, I randomly stamped parts of it in Black Soot Distress Oxide
I then drew a wiggly black frame around the edge of my two page spread

I stamped the large Creativity Words on a seperate piece of card.  Cut them up, added wiggly lines around each, then adhered to my pages

And here was the final result. For one of my first Art Journal spreads, I was really happy with the way it turned out. Hope you like it

Music to my ears

Hi crafters xx

I'm back with another couple of makes, on the

Buzzy Goings On At Bee Crafty Blog

I wanted to showcase the gorgeous Keyboard stamp, together with some of the fabulous Music themed stamp sets, to show how versatile 1 stamp can be...

Keyboard

Soundwaves - Heartbeat  , Dots

Fur Elise Music Backdrop

Rock stamp

Welded Music Inkable

Distress Oxides

Versafine

A fun and quick card to make..

Stamp the Soundwaves Dots in various Distress Oxides.  I've got for bright but masculine tones for this one.

The main Keyboard was stamped in Vintage Sepia versafine and to complete I inked up ROCK in one of the Distress Oxides, used for the Soundwaves

To create this sample I blended Distress Oxides through the Welded Music Inkable

The Keyboard was stamped in Vintage Sepia Versafine together, as was the Heartbeat Soundwaves

Holding the Fur Elise stamp in the palm of my hand, I randomly stamped bits of it with Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide

Using different coloured inks, Soundwaves etc, will alter the look of both these cards

Many thanks for popping by and I'll be back again soon with another Bee Crafty make

Dream Live Laugh

Afternoon crafters xx

I wanted to do a quick blog post to show you  my first EVER Art Journal page (or is it called a spread? 😂)
For those of you who follow me you'll know I love my stamping and getting inky. I've always done this through my cardmaking, Design Team samples and some mixed media, mdf, frames etc.
I wanted to try something a little different that would still allow me to stamp.
So an Art Journal arrived. .. and I have sat and stared at it for a week with no clue of where to begin 😂😂
I think the panic was..what if I do something wrong... I can't just throw it away in the bin (like I usually do)... it will be recorded there, in the journal for me to see!
But then I realised it really doesn't matter! It's MY Art journal. We all make mistakes and it's part of the learning process...so here I go...a new year..a new challenge... Hope you like it xx

I hope you like my first journal entry... hopefully there will be many more lol

January's Wolf

Hello everyone xx

First of all I'd like to wish you all a very Happy, and crafty, New Year xxxx
I'm on the Bee Crafty blog today with a Calender page I made, using one of my favourite Bee Crafty stamps...the gorgeous Scenery Wolf
So beautiful and versatile xx

Also used:
Dreams come true sentiment stamp
Moon
Distress Oxides
Versafine

I masked off a panel across the Calendar page and blended Distress Oxides together to create a sunset effect
I spritzed water droplets on then dried them off with a paper towel
The moon was stamped in the same colours
I inked up, and stamped, the gorgeous Wolf and sentiment in Black onyx versafine

A simple but beautiful first page to my calendar. .. hope you like it xxx
