Doodle Art MDF Journal sample

Morning xx

Following on from my Bee Crafty DT blog last week, here is my final sample, as promised.
Something a little new for me...an MDF journal!  using the fabulous Doodle Art collection of stamps and coordinating products.
Although somewhat apprehensive at the start, I soon got in to the flow of making this, and I loved every minute! Anything goes...let your creative juices flow lol

Products used:
Doodle Art stamp sets: Bee, Sunflower, Dragonfly, Butterfly, Girl
MDF Journal
Inkables
Dinkables
Versafine
Versmark
Clear embossing powder
Distress Oxide
Kuretake Clean Colour pens
Sparkle pen
Gilding Wax
Texture paste

I started the journal by applying texture paste, through various Dinkables, on some of the pages. I already had a rough idea of what images I was going to use on each page, so I used Dinkables I felt would coordinate with each design.

Once completely dry I blended Distress Oxides to each spread of pages, using a different colour combination on each.

Having ensured everything was dry I blended more distress Oxides through various Dinkables, to add extra dimension to each page.

I then worked on 1 spread at a time, stamping the images in Black Versafine.
Each spread was coloured in with a mixture of mediums, Kuretake Clean Colour pens, Alcohol Pens, Sparkle Pens, depending on the effect and colours I wanted to achieve.

I added highlights of Gold or Silver Gilding Wax to the areas of raised texture paste, around the edges of the pages, and where I felt a hint of highlight would work.

I also used a white gel pen, to add highlights as appropriate.

Once dry, the rings were put through to complete the journal.

I hope you enjoyed looking through today's post. I has soo much fun creating this MDF journal, and I hope there will be more in the future

For You...

Hello everyone

I'm on the Bee Crafty blog today with two makes using the absolutely beautiful Sunflower. A stunning hand drawn flower that stamps so brilliantly

Also used :
Everyday Sentiments XL 1
Distress Oxides
Dinkables
Sparkle pens
Bark Positive stamp
Foil

For the background I used my sparkle pens, a large brush and water. Creates a beautiful blended rainbow effect which you can also get using Distress Inks and Oxides
I stamped random bits of Bark and blended Distress Oxides randomly through Honeycomb stencil. I used a fine line pen to add some effect to the honeycomb shapes
Using a water brush I bleached out a sun
The Sunflower and sentiment was stamped in black onyx versafine and I added a few white highlights with a gel pen

I applied Distress Oxides direct to the stamp, spritzed with water and stamped onto my card stock.
Using a craft knife I cut around the Sunflower, so the edges of parts of it sat over the panel, which was same length as my card blank
I applied transfer foil to base of my Sunflower. I also applied some to the base of my card blank
The panel was adhered to card blank and I added wiggly lines down each side of the panel, with a black pen
The sentiment was stamped in white, to complete

Many thanks for popping by and I'll be back again soon

Nature...

Hi crafters xx

Hope you're all well and have a lovely day planned
I'm on the Bee Crafty blog today and I decided to try something new. I bought some natural Slate coasters and had a go at stamping on them. Have to say once I got the hang of it I was on a roll...and will be doing more no doubt lol

I used:
Large Butterfly
Large Sunflower
Maple Hand Drawn leaf
Versmark
Embossing Powders
Metallic Markers (from my crafty stash )
Varnish

When stamping/heat embossing on these you MUST use a GLASS MAT as it will get very HOT

Do NOT touch the slate coaster during and after heat embossing as it gets extremely HOT. It takes a long time for the slate to cool down

Anti Static the coaster before stamping your image in Versmark.  Press and hold down firmly for a minute or so to allow the Versmark to soak into the slate properly

Apply embossing powder

Heat. (Please note it takes a long time for the embossing powder to melt!!! )

Once dry and the slate has cooled right down then you can colour in your images.
I used metallic Markers from my crafty stash

Once dry I applied several coats of Varnish

I hope you liked today's makes..I  enjoyed making them

I'll be back soon with another Bee Crafty make

Stamps By Me Sunflower stamp and scratch stamp set and Bee Flourish stamp set by Honey Doo Crafts

Morning crafters.

Would love to share a card I made using the beautiful Sunflower by www.stampsbyme.co.uk

I also used the Bee Flourish stamp from www.honeydoocrafts.co.uk

The background was created using acrylic paints and clingfilm. .left over night to dry before removing the clingfilm.

I stamped and coloured the sunflower in with Kuretake clean colour pens before cutting it out

The bee flourish was stamped onto the background using Versafine black onyx ink.

I created a watercolour effect on the scallop frame using Kuretake clean colour pens and water.

The card was then assembled and the sentiment stamped to complete

Thankyou for taking time to have a look

Stamps By Me Sunflower stamp and scratch stamp set and You stamp set by Julie Hickey

Morning crafters.
Hope you've all got a crafty Saturday lined up.

Here is a card I made using the delightful  Sunflower stamp set by www.stampsbyme.co.uk

And no yellow or orange in sight

I stamped random sunflowers off the page in the lower left hand corner of the card blank, using Versafine black onyx ink. I also added some circles.

The sentiment by Julie Hickey was also stamped in versafine ink.

The sunflower was stamped onto a separate piece of card, coloured in with Kuretake clean colour pens and cut out.

I moulded it into shape before adhering to front of card blank with foam pads.
A few gems were added to compete the card.

Thankyou for stopping by and please leave a comment as I read every one.

Stamps By Me Sunflower stamp set

Evening crafters.
Hope you all had a fab Sunday. I've been busy making some samples for a new launch...so watch this space.

In the meantime here's a happy card I made using the delightful Sunflower stamp set available from www.stampsbyme.co.uk

I created a watercolour, smooshed background with distress inks and  kuretake clean colour pens, whilst also using a resist pen to add some swirls.

I then stamped and heat embossed the sunflower and coloured it in using the kuretake pens.

The background was matted onto black card then attached to card blank with foam pads, before adding the sunflower with 3d gel.

The sentiment was stamped in versafine to complete.

Hope you liked it and many thanks for taking the time to look.

Stamps By Me Sunflower stamp and scratch stamp set

Morning crafters.

Hope you're all good and are looking forward to a crafty weekend.

Here's a card I made using the stunning sunflower stamp from www.stampsbyme.co.uk

It's also part of the stamp and scratch range so a special gold or silver sticker can be added to the centre of the flower and when scratched off by the recipient it reveals a message.

For my card I randomly stamped the sunflower over some card.
This was adhered to a black card blank

The awesome sunflower was stamped and embossed in black and then coloured in with Kuretake clean colour pens.

The sentiment was stamped in black versafine and then I matted this onto the card blank with foam pads

Thankyou for popping by to look at my card and your comments left are all read, and greatly appreciated
