Prehistoric Dinosaur journal

Hello lovely crafters

I thought I'd share my MDF mini journal over on the Bee Crafty blog today. I used the fabulous Prehistoric Dinosaur collection recently launched on Hochanda

Products used:
Triceratops stamp set- XL and Regular
Tyrannosaurus Rex stamp set
MDF mini journal
Dinkables
Texture paste
Gilding wax
Acrylic paint

To begin I used texture paste through the Leafy Branch Dinkable, using the stamps as a guide as to where I wanted the leaves to be.
Once dry I painted all the pages in various coloured Acrylic paints. I like to apply the paint with my fingers, blending colours together.
Once dried I applied Gilding wax over the texture paste.

Having prepped all my pages I began stamping and colouring in my images using inks  sparkle pens or embossing powders.
I also used Dinkables, with Distress Oxides,  to add more dimension to some pages.

I stamped the Sentiments and attached the pages by the rings supplied.
I then adhered the metal embellishment to the front page, using gel glue. I also tied some ribbons on the rings, and attached another metal embellishment to the ribbon.
To finish I painted over the wooden word embellishment and adhered with the glue gel.

I hope you enjoyed today's post

If the sky could dream ...of Dragons

Hello crafters xx

How are we?
I'm excited to share a card on the Bee Crafty blog today, using the absolutely fabulous Dragon stamp...how awesome is this image. So many possibilities. ...

Also used:
Dinkable: Feather
Bubble wrap positive stamp
Distress Oxides
Versafine

I stamped the Bubble wrap in Distress Oxides,  randomly over my card blank. I find holding the stamp in the palm of my hand gives a more random, distressed effect. This was set to one side to dry.
I tore a square of card and created an inky background using inks
I dried this off thoroughly before stamping the amazing Dragon in black onyx versafine
I stamped the Bubble wrap randomly in the same ink as I used on the card blank
I blended Distress Oxides through the Feathers Dinkable to create the effect of fire coming from his mouth, highlighting the flames with a gel pen to make them pop more
I adhered this to the card blank.  Stamped the sentiment in black onyx versafine and then drew a wiggly frame with a black pen

Thankyou for popping by the blog today

Today's page uses the absolutely gorgeous Conch Shell stamp and the little Jelly Fish from the Jellyfish stamp set

Also used:

I put some paints on my blending mat, added water then smooshed my page through the paints, until I was happy with the effect.
I stamped and coloured in the Seaweeds with Distress Oxides.
Once dry I stamped and heat embossed my shells in white.
The Shells were coloured in with a pink sparkle pen.
To complete I stamped the air bubbles and added highlights with a white own

Also used:
XL Creativity words
Dinkables
Bubble wrap positive stamp
Embossing powder

To create this page it's all about layers. Adding different mediums, stamps and stencils on top of each other, to create depth and dimension.
To begin I applied Acrylic Paints to the black Art Journal page.
I dried these off then added some random areas of white Acrylic Paint to break the page up.
I blended Distress Oxides through the Brick wall Dinkable and stamped the Bubble wrap positive stamp,  randomly over the page.
Once completely dry I stamped the Collage ART stamp in Versmark then applied white embossing powder

Doodle Art

Hello xx

Is everyone ok? Have you been busy crafting? I know I have 😁
I'm up on the Bee Crafty blog today with something new for me... a Jigsaw puzzle!!
Had a lot of fun creating this sample for a recent Hochanda show , using stamps from my favourite ever Bee Crafty collection...Doodle Art 😘

Products used:
Doodle Art: Butterfly, Dragonfly
Distress Oxide
Dinkable
Sparkle Pens

To begin I blended Distress Oxides randomly over the puzzle pieces, drying in between each layer of colour applied.
I then blended the Oxides through the Honeycomb Dinkable.
The main images were stamped in Black Onyx Versafine and dried off thoroughly with my heat gun.
Some of the small embellishment stamps, from both sets, were stamped randomly all over the puzzle.
I used my sparkle pens to colour in all my images.
To complete I drew a wiggly frame around my puzzle then added random dots around the frame, and around some parts of the focal images.

I hope you enjoyed my make today.  I'll definately be doing another puzzle again

Doodle Art MDF Journal sample

Morning xx

Following on from my Bee Crafty DT blog last week, here is my final sample, as promised.
Something a little new for me...an MDF journal!  using the fabulous Doodle Art collection of stamps and coordinating products.
Although somewhat apprehensive at the start, I soon got in to the flow of making this, and I loved every minute! Anything goes...let your creative juices flow lol

Products used:
Doodle Art stamp sets: Bee, Sunflower, Dragonfly, Butterfly, Girl
MDF Journal
Inkables
Dinkables
Versafine
Versmark
Clear embossing powder
Distress Oxide
Kuretake Clean Colour pens
Sparkle pen
Gilding Wax
Texture paste

I started the journal by applying texture paste, through various Dinkables, on some of the pages. I already had a rough idea of what images I was going to use on each page, so I used Dinkables I felt would coordinate with each design.

Once completely dry I blended Distress Oxides to each spread of pages, using a different colour combination on each.

Having ensured everything was dry I blended more distress Oxides through various Dinkables, to add extra dimension to each page.

I then worked on 1 spread at a time, stamping the images in Black Versafine.
Each spread was coloured in with a mixture of mediums, Kuretake Clean Colour pens, Alcohol Pens, Sparkle Pens, depending on the effect and colours I wanted to achieve.

I added highlights of Gold or Silver Gilding Wax to the areas of raised texture paste, around the edges of the pages, and where I felt a hint of highlight would work.

I also used a white gel pen, to add highlights as appropriate.

Once dry, the rings were put through to complete the journal.

I hope you enjoyed looking through today's post. I has soo much fun creating this MDF journal, and I hope there will be more in the future
