The Struggle is Real by The Ink Road

Morning crafters

As it's Monday I'm here with my weekly blog for Bumbleberry Papercrafts 

I was so pleased to get to sample one of the new stamp sets by The Ink Road, as we are the only stockist of their products in the UK! !

This is The Struggle Is Real  stamp set. A fab sentiment stamp set covering some of those moments/events we're never sure what to say....

For this sample I also used :
Altenew Watercolor Frames stamp set
Distress Oxide : Twisted Citron, Picked Raspberry
Distress Ink: Mermaid Lagoon
versafine : Black onyx

Love this sentiment which means
Seize the day.... How appropriate can that be for so many occasions and events

I used the solid square frame with the Distress inks and oxides then the outline one in black onyx versafine

The sentiment was stamped in black onyx versafine and to finish I stamped the Exclamation Mark randomly by the frames

Altenew Watercolor Frames

Good morning everyone
Hope you're well and having a lovely Bank Holiday weekend xx

Today I'm back with my Monday morning blog for Bumbleberry Papercrafts 

I'm using the absolutely beautiful,  and very versatile Watercolour Frames by Altenew. I also used the sentiment from the
Halftone Circles set also by Altenew

Also used:
Distress Oxides:  Fossilized Amber, Peeled Paint
Black onyx versafine

• Ink up the splattered circle frame in the two Distress Oxides and stamp in the bottom right corner of your card blank 
• Stamp it again on a masking sheet (or sticky post it note), cut out and mask off your stamped image
• Stamp the other circle frame in the Peeled Paint and stamp slightly overlapping first image
• Repeat this several times, also in the Fossilized Amber 
• Remove mask
• Stamp the sentiment in black onyx versafine to complete

Such an easy and quick card but very effective. Colours and sentiment can be changed appropriately to suit other recipients and occassions

Watercolor Frames by Altenew from Bumbleberry Papercrafts

Afternoon crafters

It's me again lol.
Following on from my blog this morning  I wanted to show you a completely different look, using exactly the same stamps.

Just a reminder that I used
Watercolor Frames
Halftone Circles
By Altenew and available from Www.bumbleberrys.co.uk  

Also used:
Distress Inks : Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry, Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet
Black onyx versafine ink

• I cut a square of blue card slightly smaller than card blank and a square of white card slightly smaller than this 
• I stamped the solid square stamp in the Squeezed Lemonade and then masked it off 
• I repeated this, stamping in the Shaded Lilac, followed by the Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade and finally Wilted Violet 
• After each stamped image I masked the square before moving onto the next.  This gives the effect of dimension
• The sentiments were stamped in black onyx versafine ink 
• I adhered this to the blue card and then onto my 6x 6 card blank,  using wet glue

I hope the two posts today show the versatility of just two stamps from this beautiful stamp set.  The possibilities are endless

Altenew Watercolor Frames from Bumbleberry Papercrafts

I love these! They have unlimited uses and produce great backgrounds but also as the focal point to your makes

Also used:
Distress Inks:    Twisted Citron, Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry, Peacock Feathers
Black onyx versafine ink

• Begin by cutting a square of black card slightly smaller than your card blank and a square of white card slightly smaller than this 
• Using the DI'S, I randomly stamped the outline square stamp over the white card, ensuring they overlapped each other
• I used the Twisted Citron DI to stamp the solid square frame
• The sentiment was stamped over the solid frame in the Black onyx versafine ink 
• I adhered this to the black card and then onto the card blank, using wet glue 

This completes this quick and simple,  but contemporary card.

Watercolour Frames by Altenew

Today I'm showcasing the stunning
Watercolour Frames by Altenew
I know you're loving them because they keep selling out...lol
I used the frames to create an effective and beautiful background to a flower stamp I had

Also used:
Distress Oxides : Fossilized Amber, Peeled Paint, Worn Lipstick
Smokey Grey versafine ink

I cut a strip of white card and inked around the edge with the Peeled Paint Oxide

I inked up one of the solid frame stamps in the Peeled Paint, spritzed with water and stamped it near the top of the strip of card

I repeated the process with the other two Oxides. The effect of this frame stamp, together with the effect the Oxides create, is simply beautiful 

I then stamped the flower and sentiment in the smokey grey versafine ink and adhered the strip to my card blank

Altenew Watercolour Frames stamp set

Today it's my weekly Monday morning blog showcasing products for

I'm sharing a sample I made using one of the newly released Altenew stamp set

Watercolour Frames

This is such a versatile stamp set, creating beautiful frames to images and sentiments but can also be used alone as a texture stamp.
Over the next few weeks I hope to show you different looks from these stamps , from pretty to grungy..so watch out for them xx

I also used:
Distress Inks : Cracked Pistachio, Tumbled Glass and Dusty Concord
Stencil
Gold embossing powder
Versmark Ink pad

For this sample I decided to use the Spotlight technique so I cut 3 mats in black card,  in decreasing size, and 3 mats in white card, slightly smaller.

I set the black mats to one side

Using temporary adhesive tape, I stuck the 3 white mats on top of each other, in the design I wished the spotlight to be

Using Versmark ink I stamped the outline decorative circle randomly over the 3 mats but ensuring one was stamped centrally on the smallest mat

I heat embossed them with gold embossing powder 

I then stamped the plain outline circle, in Versmark ink,  randomly over the mats and again heat embossed in gold

I stamped the sentiment in the centre of the smaller mats frame, in Versmark ink and heat embossed in gold

Using my distress inks I blended them all over the 3 mats

I also used them to ink through a stencil, to add more depth to the card

Once dry I carefully disengaged the 3 mats then adhered each of them to a black card mat

The biggest layer was adhered to card blank first then I carefully lined up and adhered the middle sized mat and then the smallest mat, to complete the sample
