Fables and Fantasy Delight stamp set by Bee Crafty

Afternoon crafters

Following on from this mornings blog I wanted to share another card and matching mdf plaque, I made using the beautiful
Fables and Fantasy Delight  stamp set from
Bee Crafty

Also used:
Distress Ink: Spun Sugar,  Worn Lipstick, Twisted Citron
Lustre Luxe: Sea Green ( Bee Crafty)
Black onyx versafine ink
Stencil
Clear gems
Pixie Powders  (plaque only)

For this card I used the Spotlight technique which I will detail below

To begin I cut two square mats of black card in decreasing size and two squares of white card, slightly smaller than the black mats. The black mats were set to one side

I attached some temporary removable adhesive tape on the back of the smaller white mat and stuck it in the centre of the larger white square

I blended over the two pieces of white card with my distress inks. I also inked through a large circles stencil randomly over the cards

I used the Lustre Luxe as a texture paste through several stencils,  again ensuring it was over both pieces of card as appropriate

Delight was stamped in the centre of the smaller square card mat, in black onyx versafine ink.  I also stamped elements of Delight randomly around the edges, to create decorative swirls

Once this was completely dry I carefully lifted up the smaller centre card and removed the tape

Both pieces of card were matted onto the squares of black card that were set aside earlier

The larger square was adhered to card blank using wet glue

The smaller square was adhered over the larger square, with foam pads, ensuring the stamped image was carefully lined up

This completed the spotlight card.

I then made an mdf plaque to coordinate with the card.

I painted over the plaque with the Lustre Luxe then added Pixie powders over the top, spritzing with water

Once completely dry I used the Lustre Luxe through a swirl stencil

Again once this was dry I stamped Delight in the black onyx versafine ink and used  elements from the stamp randomly around the edges

Cord was tied on the plaque to complete

I hope you've enjoyed reading through my post and thankyou for popping by.

I would love for you to leave a comment as I do read them all

Fables and Fantasy Delight stamp and Splatter Swirl Upright Rectangle Backdrop Frame stamp by Bee Crafty

Morning lovely crafters

Are we all ok this morning?

I've been getting very inky recently and thought I'd share a card I made using the following stamps from    Bee Crafty

Fables and Fantasy Delight
Splatter Swirl Upright Rectangle Backdrop Frame

Also used:
Watercolour card
Pixie Powders
Stencils
Versmark ink pad
Black onyx versafine ink
Black fine line pen

I cut some water colour card slightly smaller than A5 card blank

I used Versmark ink through a stencil then added pixie powders, to create a vibrant and fun background. The Versmark resists the powders hence this fab effect

I stamped part of the Backdrop Frame, in black onyx versafine ink, along the bottom of the background and to the top left.

Delight was then stamped in the black ink,  so she stood on the frame accent

I stamped a sentiment onto white card, cut it up and adhered them randomly to background

This was then adhered to card blank using wet tacky glue

To finish I drew black wiggly lines around the background,  to create a frame

Thankyou very much for stopping by

Bee Crafty Splatter Swirl Upright Rectangle Backdrop Frame and Lustre Luxe's

Afternoon crafters
How has your day been soo far?
I've had a fab weekend getting very inky and messy with mixed media projects..love it lol

Anyway I'd love to share a canvas I made using some new products I've just bought from Bee Crafty, which I wanted to try out
www.beecrafty.net

I used the following products:
Splatter Swirl Upright Rectangle Backdrop Frame
Lavender Quartz Lustre Luxe

I also used Pebeo Dyna acrylic paints
Stencils

To begin I put some of my Lustre Luxe on a glass block, added some water and used as a wash over the canvas.
I did the same with the Dyna paints.
I also used some straight from the containers, to create a thicker consistency and more intense colour

I heat blasted it quickly, then put some more of the Lustre Luxe on my block before using it through a variety of stencils. It acts like a texture paste and creates a 3d dimension to the canvas. And the shimmer is wow!!

I then stamped the backdrop frame in black onyx versafine ink. I also stamped elements of it randomly around the canvas

The sentiment was also stamped in the black ink and to finish I added some white gel highlights.

I hope you like my canvas and I thankyou for popping by

True Friends stamp set by Stamps By Me

Morning crafters
Any one up to some crafting today? What are you all working on?

I'd like to share a canvas I made yesterday using the beautiful
True Friends stamp set available from
www.stampsbyme.co.uk

I used different stencils and texture paste to create some dimension to the blank canvas

I then blended Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick and Squeezed Lemonade distress inks all over the canvas

Using a mixture of Smokey Grey and Black Onyx Versafine ink I stamped random textures around the canvas, holding each stamp in the palm of my hand. I find this creates a more random distressed effect ideal for mixed media

Versafine black onyx ink was used to stamp the main outline image

Acrylic and Dyna paints were painted onto the solid stamp and these were stamped over the outline image. I heat blasted the flower before repainting and stamping the solid stamp to create more depth and dimension

Gilding wax was dragged from the edges randomly to create a metallic shimmer feel

To finish I highlighted some areas with a white gel pen.

Hope you like today's make

Sending Love stamp set by Stamps By Me

Afternoon.
I made this mdf tag this morning and popped it on my newsfeed so thought I'd pop a quick blog post on explaining how it was made
It's using the new
Sending Love lamination stamp set available from
Www.stampsbyme.co.uk

I drew round the mdf tag on watercolour card and cut it out

I stamped Versmark ink through a dotty stencil and heat embossed with clear embossing powder

Using Squeezed lemonade, Worn Lipstick and Spun Sugar Distress inks I created a blended, smooshed background all over the card

I stamped the outline stamps in black versafine ink and gave it quick heat blast

I used my kuretake clean colour pens directly onto the solid stamp, spritzing with water first, and stamped over just the centre stamped outline. I restamped it several times using different kuretake colours to create more dimension to the flower

I stamped two of the sentiment stamp in black versafine ink

The watercolour card was then glued to the mdf tag and I used sandpaper around the edges to neaten them

To complete I used my finger to rub gold pebeo gilding wax around the edges of the tag, which I then buffed with a soft cloth

I hope you like my tag
