Laugh Loud

Good morning crafters xx

It's Thursday which means I'm on the
Bee Crafty blog today xx

I've been playing with the stunning Time Measure stamp set xx

Also used:
Everyday sentiment 2 set
Dinkables
Texture, circles and film strip set
Kuretake clean colour pens
Distress Oxides
Versafine

To begin I stamped the fabulous Time Measure stamp in black onyx Versafine.
I used my Kuretake clean colour pens to colour in the 2 butterflies, within the design
I stamped some of the texture circles randomly in Distress Oxides
I also blended Distress Oxides through the Honeycomb, and Dots and Lines Dinkables.
The sentiment was stamped in black onyx versafine and a black wiggly frame was drawn around the edge of the card.
I adhered the card to the front of the card blank to complete my make.

Thankyou for popping by and I'll be back again soon.

Doodle Art Bird

Morning xx

Hope everyone is good. Any crafty plans for today?

I've been getting a bit festive, (yes its August!!) with my Doodle Art sets. These make such fun and festive Christmas cards and here are a selection of cards using the delightful Bird, as the focal image. Love the wellies and this image is perfect for a couple of little girls I know 😁

Hope you enjoy today's weekly Bee Crafty blog post xx

Products used:
Doodle Art sets: all of them!! 🤣
Distress Oxides
Versafine
Kuretake clean colour pens
Sparkle pens
Gelli Plate

Whilst I have made my backgrounds for these particular cards, on my Gelli Plate, you can achieve a similar effect by applying Distress Oxides to an acrylic block. Spritz with water and apply the ink direct to the card blank. Then stamp your desired images within the inked panel to create a random design

All my images were stamped in Black Onyx Versafine as I like the bold, contemporary feel of this look. It's simple, crisp, clean and fun..just like me?? 🤣

I coloured in some aspects of the images, either with kuretake clean colour pens or sparkle pens, but you can use whatever you have in your crafty stash

I hope you enjoyed looking through today's post. I'll see you again soon.

Dreams are the touchstones...

Hello everyone xx

Its Thursday which means I'm on the
Bee Crafty blog 😁

I decided to mix up my stamps for this weeks make, so here's what I've used

Pocket Watch
Feathered Wings
Doodle Art Bird
Doodle Art Dragonfly
Bubble Wrap Positive stamp
Ticker Tape 2 sentiment stamp set
Dinkables
Distress Oxides
Gelli Plate

I created this background using my Gelli Plate, brayering it with Distress Oxides, then stamping with the Bubble Wrap Positive and blending through the Stripes and Dots Dinkables.
I printed this onto a piece of square card

I stamped the Pocket Watch and masked it off.
I then stamped the Feathered Wings, and various flowers from the 2 Doodle Art sets, in Versafine.
The masking tape was removed.
I coloured the flowers, and parts of the Pocket Watch, with my watercolour pencils.
I adhered this on to black card and then on to my card blank.
To finish I stamped my sentiment, cut it up and glued with 3d gel

Thanks for popping by.
See you soon

Enjoy the journey

Hi everyone xx
For this weeks Bee Crafty blog  post, I'm sharing the August page of a Calendar I made as a gift 😁
I used the gorgeous Seahorse stamp from the Under the sea collection.

Also used:
Distress Oxides
Clear sparkle pen
Versafine
Glitter card

To create this Calendar page I cut a piece of glitter card, and a slightly smaller piece of white card.
I blended Distress Oxides, spritzing water droplets on, in between each layer.
Using the Oxides I stamped the Seahorse and seaweed.
I added a hint of sparkle to the Seahorse, with a clear sparkle pen, and also to the air bubbles to create the effect of dimension.
Once dry I adhered this to the glitter card and then on to the Calendar page.
The Sentiments were stamped in Versafine,  to complete the page.

These handmade Calendars make such a lovely personalised gift for friends and family.

Thankyou for popping by and I'll be back soon

Have a marvellous Day

Hello crafters

How are you all?
I'm back on the Bee Crafty blog today with another make using the fabulous
Light Tomorrow  stamp set. I do love the versatility this stamp offers xx

Products used :
Light Tomorrow stamp set
Trio of Butterflies
Everyday Sentiments
White ink
Transfer foil
Gold Acrylic Paint
White gel pen

I stamped the Light Bulb in white ink then masked it off
The Butterflies were also stamped in white ink, ensuring parts of the stamped image was over the masked Light Bulb. This gives the effect of flying behind the Bulb
I used a white gel pen to add a butterfly trail
Gold Acrylic Paint was used to colour in the bulb working from light in the centre, getting darker towards the outer edges
This was matted onto gold mirri then adhered to card blank to complete

Thankyou for popping by and I'll be back again soon

Live by the sea

Hi everyone xx

Hope everyone is well and been crafting away.
I'm up on the Bee Crafty blog today, and I've been playing in my Art Journal again using the gorgeous Jellyfish from the Bee Crafty Under the sea collection.

Also used:
Dinkables
Distress Oxide
White embossing powder

Having first painted my page with white gesso and dried it off with my heat gun, I then blended distress oxides randomly all over. I dried each layer off before applying more until I was happy with the effect.
I dropped some water on and dabbed dry with paper towel.
Using a damp wipe, and my circles Dinkables, I removed some of the ink to add more dimension.
I stamped and heat embossed the gorgeous Jellyfish in white.
Green Distress Oxide was blended through the leafy Dinkable
I stamped various Seaweeds in different Oxides, first and second generation, to get more dimension.
The sentiment was stamped on paper, cut out and adhered to finish.

I hope you enjoyed today's post

Do something today...

Hi crafters xx

I'm on my blog with a quick post to show you my latest Art Journal spread 😂
I love the freedom to chuck anything at it..and see where it leads you. I very rarely plan what I'm going to create lol
My first New Years challenge was to start an Art Journal.  The second was to try my hand at watercolouring/painting. For this spread I painted my own Daisies. .. I know they're not great but it's a start lol

I used Acrylic paints for this spread.
I also used texture paste through some stencils by Bee Crafty (and other ones I had in my stash). The sentiment was also by Bee Crafty.
I sketched the Daisies first then pined them with acrylics

Thanks for taking a look

Have a marvellous day

Hello everyone xx

I'm on the Bee Crafty blog today with several makes using the fabulous pen and ink style  stamps.
Love the versatility of these, using them in part or as a whole.
I recently purchased a Gelli Plate and these stamps are absolutely perfect to use. However all my back grounds can be achieved, with similar effect, using the Oxides,  stencils and stamps.

Products used:
Time Measure stamp
Ledger Measure stamp
Film Strip and Circles Texture stamp
Everyday Sentiments
Stripes and Triangle inkable
Dinkables
Distress Oxide
Gelli Plate

For this sample I made the background with Distress Oxides, Stripes inkable, and the Film Strip stamp set. I used my Gelli plate to achieve this particular effect, although you can create a similar effect without one.
The Ledger Measure stamp was then stamped with Distress Oxides and the sentiment in Black Onyx Versafine xx

Another gelli plate background. This time using stripes and dots Dinkable, film strip and circles stamp set, with the Distress Oxides.
The main focal stamp, the Ledger Measure stamp, was also stamped in the Oxides and then the sentiment in Black Onyx to complete.

The last gelli plate sample was made with the Oxides, Metal Alpha Dinkable, Triangles Inkable and texture stamp from the Film Strip and Circles stamp set. The focal image is one of the Ledger Measure stamps.

I hope you enjoyed looking through today's makes and can see how versatile these fabulous stamp sets are.

I thought I'd share my MDF mini journal over on the Bee Crafty blog today. I used the fabulous Prehistoric Dinosaur collection recently launched on Hochanda

Products used:
Triceratops stamp set- XL and Regular
Tyrannosaurus Rex stamp set
MDF mini journal
Dinkables
Texture paste
Gilding wax
Acrylic paint

To begin I used texture paste through the Leafy Branch Dinkable, using the stamps as a guide as to where I wanted the leaves to be.
Once dry I painted all the pages in various coloured Acrylic paints. I like to apply the paint with my fingers, blending colours together.
Once dried I applied Gilding wax over the texture paste.

Having prepped all my pages I began stamping and colouring in my images using inks  sparkle pens or embossing powders.
I also used Dinkables, with Distress Oxides,  to add more dimension to some pages.

I stamped the Sentiments and attached the pages by the rings supplied.
I then adhered the metal embellishment to the front page, using gel glue. I also tied some ribbons on the rings, and attached another metal embellishment to the ribbon.
To finish I painted over the wooden word embellishment and adhered with the glue gel.

I hope you enjoyed today's post

If the sky could dream ...of Dragons

Hello crafters xx

How are we?
I'm excited to share a card on the Bee Crafty blog today, using the absolutely fabulous Dragon stamp...how awesome is this image. So many possibilities. ...

Also used:
Dinkable: Feather
Bubble wrap positive stamp
Distress Oxides
Versafine

I stamped the Bubble wrap in Distress Oxides,  randomly over my card blank. I find holding the stamp in the palm of my hand gives a more random, distressed effect. This was set to one side to dry.
I tore a square of card and created an inky background using inks
I dried this off thoroughly before stamping the amazing Dragon in black onyx versafine
I stamped the Bubble wrap randomly in the same ink as I used on the card blank
I blended Distress Oxides through the Feathers Dinkable to create the effect of fire coming from his mouth, highlighting the flames with a gel pen to make them pop more
I adhered this to the card blank.  Stamped the sentiment in black onyx versafine and then drew a wiggly frame with a black pen

Thankyou for popping by the blog today
